There wasn't a witch. Good old Terrius had one too many knocks to the head, from all that charging he likes to do so much. The old knocker was not acting like it was supposed to.

Terrius used to be alpha in his clan before he moved out 5 years ago. Why did he move out? Because of that witch that started giving him stuff to do. And those boots? They were a near gift from some adventurer stranded who was going to be eated by kobolds. He needed kobolds teeth for the witch from them. He got 153 kobold teeth to her and got some good boots.

Standing tall and proud, although a little less now, with the slight daze in his eye, Terrius is a towering giant with horns so hardened from all the use they have seen they seem like made from iron. Terrius used to enrage fast but rage as are all things diminish with age. Terrius wasnt old by any account. But he felt it. He felt every scar under his fur, every cracked bone, every chipped tooth after a charge. Like a fighter after his prime thats what he looked like.A little slow in the head but strong in the head at the same time. But the witch was giving him work that put that spark back in. He was feeling a little better now but he needed more then a challenge then orcs and kobolds.
