Tordek has been tasked with the upkeep of the arcane and mechanical upkeep of the Worldship. Having done this for about 100 years, he has since changed from a spry Dwarven engineer to a slightly-insane and inanimate-loving artificer. Being a follower of Ioun has led him to be curious in all things mechanical and arcane, but he generally wants nothing to do with the divine due to the fact he cannot control it.

While the Worldship was at first created by divine beings, Tordek insists that it is of arcane and mechanical constructs. He maintains the buildings since created by the inhabitants on the Worldship, including support systems down below in the innards of the flying world.

Spending that much time "inside the machine" has made him uncharismatic and more likely to find friendship in tools than in living things. Thus, he finds Warforged and other beings created by arcane and mechanical means to be the ultimate companions. Tordek considers the Worldship a living thing, and often refers to it as "Wanda" for short (he has a penchant for alliteration: "Galloping Goblins!").

Despite his oddities, Tordek is a fierce companion in battle - he has survived on the Worldship for 155 years, after all. He brings a hand-crossbow he personally enchanted for close combat and as an implement for his arcane channeling. His other hand is almost always covered by a spiked gauntlet that reverberates with electricity.
